Making Art and Still Married

This is a site where my husband and I (both artists) will talk about what it is like to work on our art while trying to market it and keep a great marriage going at the same time. Come visit our world.

Getting Started

Blogs seem to be the newest and best way to get your ideas out there so we decided to give it a try. Life has been very busy lately as both Bob and I have been trying to paint more. On Saturday we did an outdoor show and it was quite an experience. The Corner Gallery in Sterling Illinois held Art Around The Corner at their location. It was an art show with about 22 artists showing their work, The Barbershop Quartet singers and a really great swing band. The only problem we ran in to that was really overwhelming was "the WIND". Our spot was directly in the path of huge wind gusts and we really suffered the consequences. Our tent (brand new) ended the day with two pretty good size holes from things blowing into it. That was pretty disappointing but we did enjoy the show. It's always a lot of fun meeting other artists, talking to the public about our work and just spending the time together outside. I managed to finish a piece that I have been working on in bits and pieces. Now I can go back to one I've had in the works for a couple of weeks. Bob has a piece started too but neither one of us have been able to get much done the last few weeks. nI plan to post some pictures in the next day or two.
