Making Art and Still Married

This is a site where my husband and I (both artists) will talk about what it is like to work on our art while trying to market it and keep a great marriage going at the same time. Come visit our world.

New pieces and new plans

Today has been a very busy day for me. I worked on marketing most of the afternoon. They tell me that an artist needs to split their time 50-50 between creating the art and marketing it. I just finished a piece last night that I started in Michael Gerry's last workshop. I don't do a lot of landscapes (portraits are my first love!) but this one was a lot of fun. It's a midwestern fall landscape with my favorite colors. I will post a picture as soon as we take one of it. I did want to post "The Baby Elk" that Bob finished recently. He really enjoyed doing it and it's one of my favorites. I'm still trying to figure out how to post it----this is fairly user friendly so I may figure it out yet! I'm also working on our workshop plans. Bob and I host a Michael Gerry Workshop at our studio every month and we also host one every month called Introduction to Oil Painting that Bob and I do. We had a great turnout last month and this month looks pretty good as well.
